Hurstwood Environmental Consulting Engineers are a UK-based firm of Building Services Design Engineers with a proud track record spanning over 20 years.
Founded by Martin Jordan, we’ve grown into a trusted partner for mechanical and electrical design across a wide range of sectors including education, pharmaceutical, residential, and industrial.
With our offices in Bolton, led by Paul Chambers, and Liverpool, led by David Clarkson, we remain rooted in our values of technical excellence, collaboration, and service continuity.
Over the past two decades, we’ve successfully delivered more than 3,000 projects for clients across the public and private sectors—working closely with main contractors, M&E subcontractors, architects, and end-users alike. Our team of over 20 skilled design engineers brings both breadth and depth of experience, capable of responding to the unique challenges and opportunities each project presents.
We specialise in the full lifecycle delivery of fixed building services – mechanical, electrical, and public health – supporting projects from early-stage concept (RIBA Stage 2) through to completion and operation. By staying involved throughout, we can help ensure that design intent is not lost along the way, helping our clients avoid fragmented delivery and achieve true in-use performance.
